eryn Mcgrath,DVM
Medical Director and Veterinarian
Dr. Eryn McGrath is a graduate of Colorado State University where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She lived in Florida and Australia previously but has been proud to call Colorado home now for over a decade. Prior to vet school, Dr. McGrath worked as a technician with Dr. Kalenzi for many years, and is very excited to join the team at Rock Creek and work alongside him.
Dr. McGrath has had a strong interest in Emergency Medicine which brought her to pursue an Emergency Internship at Fort Collins Emergency Hospital following graduation. She has worked in emergency medicine for the last 6 years, and is excited to bring those skills to Rock Creek where she hopes to offer urgent care services in addition to routine care. She is very passionate about continually expanding upon her education and providing her patients with the best care and quality of life. Dr. McGrath lives with her husband, son, and their fur-babies. In her free time, she loves to stay active and be outdoors with yoga, hiking, running, and camping.
Patrick Kalenzi,DVM
Veterinarian and Practice Owner
Born in Uganda to Rwandese refugee Tutsi parents, I began life in a world of segregation, civil war, and abject poverty. Unable to return to the war-torn place of my origin at the time—and plagued by violent discrimination in my adopted country—I fought to find safe haven. As a child, the only constants were my grandfather, our cows and dogs. Because of Grandpa’s wisdom and our bond, I decided to pursue our love of animals as my profession. This is why I became a veterinarian.
Dr. Kalenzi studied Veterinary medicine at Makerere University, Uganda; one of the best universities in Africa. He moved to America to advance his training with an internship in Kentucky and to give his family a better life. He took the American Veterinary Association required tests; ECFVG/AVMA (at Mississippi State University) to get licensed in the United States.
Today, Dr. Kalenzi is the owner of two locations where he regularly practices at,
"Niwot Veterinary Clinic" and it's sister location "Rock Creek Veterinary Hospital"

Kris Kellermeyer,DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kris Kellermeyer is originally from Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Communication followed by a decade in business and marketing. After a pet turtle’s near death experience, she was led to follow her life-long dream of becoming a veterinarian, and graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, an Internship at VSH of the Carolinas, and several years in General Practice in North Carolina prior to moving to Colorado. She enjoys family time with her husband, daughter, and pets (dogs, cats, and turtles). She also enjoys hands-on projects of all kinds including drawing, puzzles, painting, construction, and home improvements. As a small animal veterinarian, she is dedicated to working with clients and helping them through the entire life of their beloved pets, through the good times and the tougher times. The human-animal bond has been a strong influence in her life, and she strives to promote and preserve that bond for other owners, ultimately enriching their lives.
